Samsung UHD TVs of the year. Samsung TVs. Technology Advantages

Samsung Electronics announced the start of sales of a series of premium curved Samsung SUHD TVs. Innovative TVs provide rich, realistic color reproduction, unsurpassed, as the company claims, brightness and contrast, as well as fantastic image clarity. And the updated Samsung Smart TV platform on the new Tizen operating system with improved capabilities for simple content exchange between devices and quick and convenient access to a wide variety of content will give owners unique opportunities that will allow them to turn their usual living room into a real entertainment center.

For the most demanding viewers who want to watch their favorite movies, series and TV shows in the highest quality, Samsung introduces three flagship series: SUHD Smart TVs JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 series.

Thanks to the latest image processing processor SUHD Remastering Engine, which the new products are equipped with, any content can be viewed in quality close to UHD, even if the source video signal has a lower resolution. It is noted that the image quality still depends on the original source.

Nano Crystal Color technology provides ultra-accurate color reproduction and produces rich, natural colors. Peak Illuminator and Precision Black intelligent lighting technologies bring the screen to life with amazing clarity, even in the lightest and darkest areas of the image. By breaking down the image into blocks and processing each block separately, Samsung UHD Dimming technology produces deeper blacks, purer highlights and crystal-clear images. Samsung claims that the image on the screen also becomes incredibly three-dimensional and realistic thanks to Auto Depth Enhancer technology by automatically adjusting the contrast in different areas of the image. The picture quality is complemented by a curved screen that enhances the viewing experience.

The updated Samsung Smart TV has a simple and intuitive interface for the Smart Hub service. Using multiple functions at the same time doesn't slow down your TV - the new JS9500 and JS9000 series SUHD TVs feature a powerful eight-core processor that delivers faster performance than previous models.

All content on a Smart TV is located at the bottom of the screen. To call up the Smart TV menu, you now just need to move the cursor to the bottom of the screen, so you don’t have to interrupt watching the current program. The Smart TV menu provides quick navigation and convenient access to any content - movies and TV series, entertainment programs, applications, exciting games.

Quick Connect makes it easy to share content between your TV and mobile devices. Displaying an image from a smartphone on a large TV screen, and vice versa, is not difficult.

Samsung's new SUHD Smart TVs offer a variety of smart technologies. So, getting up in the morning and planning your day becomes much easier and more enjoyable thanks to the Morning Review service: the TV turns on with an alarm clock mobile phone, and the screen displays important information, namely: weather forecast and business day schedule.

At the beginning of 2015, Samsung introduced an updated range of its televisions. Back in 2014, the production of plasma TV models was discontinued, and the production of OLED TV receivers is not planned for 2015. So all 2015 TV models are assembled on liquid crystal matrices backlit by light emitting diodes (LED) or quantum dots.

It is the introduction of quantum dots by all manufacturers as backlight for LCD matrices that is one of the main trends of 2015. The use of quantum dot backlight allows you to expand the color palette; in another way, the number of displayed colors increases. Samsung calls its TVs with the new backlight "SUHD". UHD stands for ultra-high resolution 4K, which began to be introduced en masse last year, but the letter “S” stands for, according to Samsung representatives, four characteristics at once: stylish, smart, exciting and luxurious (Stylish, Spectacular, Smart, Superb).

In 2015, under the SUHD logo, Samsung will produce television receivers based on a liquid crystal matrix backlit by quantum dots. These models will also have a SUHD Re-mastering Engine. The screens will have a curved shape. SUHD TVs will also work with the updated Smart TV platform based on new system Tizen.

Samsung's use of the Tizen operating system is also an innovation for the 2015 model range. Tizen is open operating system, developed by Intel and Samsung. Thanks to the use of Tizen, the new Smart TV will now have a different, more intuitive interface and other functions will be updated and improved.

Samsung SUHD models will be available in the JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 series. In 2015, models with curved screens and ultra-high 4K resolution can already be found in the 7 and 6 series, while last year such TVs were only in the 8 and 9 series. This year, the basis of the model range will be television receivers with screens with 4K resolution (Ultra HD). The familiar Full HD format will be available in series 4, 5 and 6.

Samsung TVs 2015 model year will appear on sale throughout the year, the younger series will hit the shelves closer to autumn. But the flagship models should go on sale in the spring.

The main Samsung technologies that are used in this year’s television devices:

  1. Refresh rate Hz(increased this year, most likely due to an increase in the backlight flickering frequency);
  2. Peak Illuminator – replayability high level brightness;
  3. Ultimate – support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode, high dynamic range;
  4. Precision Black – equalizes brightness across the screen area by correcting local dimming and improves black levels;
  5. Precision Black Pro is an improved version of the previous technology;
  6. VP9 – decoding of streaming 4K video, for example from YouTube;
  7. HDR (High Dynamic Range Imaging) - increased brightness range.

As for 3D surround television, in 2015 there remains active system 3D, which Samsung has been developing for several years now. There are no revolutionary solutions in 3D, the system is the same as in 2014. The ability to play content in 3D is available in most models, so this parameter is not indicated separately in the specifications.

A model with the non-trivial name UE48J6330AU found itself in this top TV set as an inexpensive but functional solution with Full HD support. 48 inches is a balanced size for the average living room or bedroom. I admit, it was not easy to make the final choice in this category, since absolutely all manufacturers released a huge number of devices with similar characteristics in 2015. Still, with all the imposition of Ultra HD and devices with curved screens, the most popular is still the “flat” 1080p format. The final price of the product also plays an important role.

The Korean manufacturer also did their best. The number of lines updated in 2015 is simply off the charts. Specifically, the UE48J6330AU model belongs to the sixth series. I chose a 48'' TV. But there is a 40-inch version on sale. The J6300 and J6200 series have similar properties and characteristics. So, the difference between them is the presence of a special control panel with a touch button. With its help it is more convenient to manage Tizen OS. The J6200 comes with the usual “lazy one”. In general, there is plenty to choose from.

Samsung UE48J6330AU

It makes no sense to demand much from the UE48J6330AU. Still, the TV is equipped with a lot of interesting features. The main thing in the “box” is, of course, the image quality. This model uses a VA matrix with a scanning frequency of 120 Hz. Therefore, the UE48J6330AU is fine with contrast. Additionally, Micro Dimming Pro technology is used, which at the software level divides the screen area into many parts and shades them if necessary. The model is qualitatively calibrated at the factory. The “Cinema” mode is especially pleasing. In any case, the TV is replete with a variety of options for changing the image quality. For example, it is possible to adjust the white balance by 10 points.

Perhaps this point will be critical for some when choosing a TV, but the UE48J6330AU does not support 3D. For me personally, the lack of this technology is not a tragedy. All the hype about 3D died down a long time ago. Company marketers have other targets.

As for functionality, in the 2015 models the Tizen operating system is responsible for it. Samsung's main motive for switching to this OS is to optimize the process of writing additional software, as well as improve multitasking. At the time of the announcement, the firmware already had a very large number of applications for every taste and color. You can read more about Tizen OS.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-55W807C

Specifications:

  • Display: 65’’, 1920x1080, flat
  • Matrix: LCD (*VA)
  • 3D: yes
  • SmartTV: Android TV
  • Sound: 2x 10 W
  • Price: 80,000 rub.

BRAVIA KDL-55W807C acts as an advanced Full HD TV. The W807C line includes four models with diagonals of 43 inches, 50 inches, 55 inches and 65 inches, respectively. I didn't choose the largest model. However, its cost exceeds some budget 4K solutions with smaller diagonals. And yet, having gotten to know the BRAVIA KDL-55W807C better, you understand what you are paying that kind of money for.

The first is excellent image quality. Sony remains true to itself and continues to use VA matrices. Therefore, the BRAVIA KDL-55W807C has a contrast ratio of 3300:1. Indeed, on both TVs the image on the screen looks very deep and realistic. The quality of the transmitted image is also okay. The average gray scale Delta-E deviation was only 2.45 (less than three is an excellent rating). The ColorChecker test using 24 patterns recorded an error of 2.7 with a maximum deviation of 5.06. Just a great result for the out-of-the-box mode! However, it can always be improved. The TV in question is equipped with a large number of picture settings. The most important thing, in my opinion, is support for 10-point white balance calibration.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-55W807C

Since 2015, Sony has relied on Android TV in its solutions. The previous operating system - Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) - was seriously criticized, but cooperation with Google made it possible in 2015 to compete on an equal footing with the same Tizen OS and WebOS. In particular, there are no complaints at all about the functionality of Android TV. Although modified, this firmware significantly increases the multimedia capabilities of the TV, because it adds the ability to install applications from the Play Market, including games, as well as connect various peripherals: from a keyboard to a gamepad. Plus, Sony TVs allow you to install programs from an external drive. You just need to upload the APK file to the USB flash drive and load it in the pre-installed ES Explorer program.

LG 55EG910V

Specifications:

  • Display: 55’’, 1920x1080, curved
  • Matrix: OLED
  • 3D: yes
  • SmartTV: WebOS
  • Sound: 2x 10 W
  • Price: 135,000 rub.

The BRAVIA KDL-55W807C will easily compete for the title of the best Full HD TV with the 55EG910V model. But we decided to give it another award - as the most affordable OLED device. In principle, only models from LG and one single TV from Panasonic can participate in this nomination. In fact, the only competitor to the LG 55EG910V is... 55EC930V, but last year's model is equipped with the first, slower version of WebOS. Other producers prefer to watch on the sidelines. There is nothing to be done, it is the Korean giant that is betting on OLED. And her TVs are getting better and better year after year, but most importantly, they are getting cheaper and cheaper.

The 55EG910V has a smooth curved screen. Therefore, at a right angle with a diagonal of 55 inches, it is almost not felt. This may not suit users who want more immersion. The solution here is simple: take a large diagonal with Ultra HD resolution. A smooth arc avoids geometric distortions that are unpleasant to the eye. So the curvature of the 55EG910V specifically should be considered solely as a design move.

OLED is always an excellent contrast, tending to infinity. That is why no LCD matrix can compare with it in terms of realism and depth of the picture. Everything is fine with the 55EG910V and image quality. Yes, OLED settings are generally more difficult to configure than LCD panels. In addition to trivial functions, for example, 20-point white balance calibration is available. You can also select the color gamut option in the settings: “Original” or “Standard”. In the first case, it slightly exceeds the Rec. 709.

WebOS has long established itself as a very functional operating system on LG TVs. The number of programs is off the charts. Here the firmware is certainly not inferior to Tizen OS from Samsung. It was WebOS that became the first operating system with multitasking. This means that several applications can be running at the same time, and you can always switch between them if necessary. The main feature of the second version of WebOS is optimization. Compared to the first revision, the firmware began to work noticeably faster. All applications open in literally seconds. Media files stored on external drives are instantly processed. Simultaneous launch of several tasks (from three to five) does not lead to unpleasant slowdowns in the interface.

Panasonic VIERA TX-50CXR800

Specifications:

  • Display: 50’’, 3840x2160, flat
  • Matrix: LCD (*VA)
  • 3D: yes
  • SmartTV: Firefox OS
  • Sound: 2x 10 W
  • Price: 75,000 rub.

Panasonic VIERA TX-50CXR800 in our rating acts as the best budget TV with 4K resolution. And yet Japanese manufacturer went for a little marketing trick. The fact is that in Russia, under the more prestigious index XR800, they sell the European version of the CX700. As a result, VIERA TX-50CXR800 at 50 inches has a low cost for Ultra HD TVs. Yes, you can find cheaper devices on sale, but they will not be able to compete in terms of image quality with the Japanese model.

The VIERA TX-50CXR800 is based on a VA matrix. Therefore, the TV has a high contrast ratio of 4000:1. Excellent result for LCD. The Panas' image quality is also okay. The average error on 24 ColorChecker templates fits into two units. The Delta-E deviation on the gray scale also does not exceed two. At the same time, the VIERA TX-50CXR800 provides 10-point white balance and gamma calibration. After detailed settings From the TV matrix it is possible to obtain almost ideal indicators both in the gray scale and in the main shades.

Panasonic VIERA TX-50CXR800

The Panasonic TV product line switched to the new Firefox OS operating system in 2015. At the moment, it cannot compete with Tizen, WebOS and Android TV in terms of functionality, but the Japanese have ensured full compatibility with applications from the previous firmware. In principle, the basic set of programs is quite sufficient for everyday use. What is most attractive about Firefox OS is the ease of use and the logical placement of all controls.

Denisova Ksenia Sergeevna 668

Samsung JS9000 and JS9500 are the best Samsung SUHD TVs of 2015. Thanks to the SUHD set-top box, these models are considered new and indicate 4K screen resolution. The TV system has a special SUHD Remastering Engine processor. But there is a minus that the picture quality is not 100%, but only close to it, but it is almost invisible.

New models are available only with a curved screen. They have, of course, 3D support, Internet access via the Tizen OS (Smart TV) interface and many other interesting features from Samsung. Such TVs are certainly not cheap, but the price corresponds to the quality. These models have already proven themselves and are gaining momentum in sales. There are of course a choice of models of other sizes and prices.

Samsung doesn’t particularly indulge in new products, apparently there will be new model, but already in 2016.

It has long been believed that a TV is an important piece of equipment in the home, since people spend a lot of time near it, so you need to choose a good TV. If your room is not large, then most likely you do not need a plasma; it is better to take the Samsung UE40F8000 model. This model has support for Android and iOS devices, so you can control the TV from a smartphone or tablet; it also has Wi-Fi, HDMI, USB, LAN. The image quality is clear; today this 40-inch TV model is considered the best.

Samsung 3D Full HD LED UE48H6200AK, the main functions in it are Motion Control (you can control the TV if you have a video camera), Full HD (watching movies in double screen enlargement, Smart View (allows you to view multimedia content on external devices memory), Footbal Mode (watching football broadcasts like in real life).

LED TVs are TVs whose screen backlighting is carried out by a light-emitting diode (LED) matrix with a liquid crystal display. They have quite a lot of advantages: Eco TV, SMART TV, sophisticated design. And drawing a conclusion about Samsung TVs of 2015, we can say that these models combine both high technical requirements and excellent design. The choice of models in 2015 has become much wider. Teleprom has achieved high quality images on the screen, a sophisticated design that is not inferior in thickness to the iPad, the control system on the TV has become not only interesting, but also convenient, since it has become possible to do this using the built-in camera, access to the Internet has become possible, all these quality, Samsung has placed in different models 2015.

Today we will look at fairly large diagonal TVs, best option for the living room, which is worthy to become the heart of the home entertainment center. In my opinion, the most successful TV for watching movies at home will be a model with a 140 cm (55″) screen, of course, adjusted for the size of the room. Currently, a TV with such a large diagonal in combination with high resolution can be purchased at a very attractive price. In addition to the large sizes and, dare I say, accessibility for most buyers, we must not forget about quality; it will also be no less interesting to find out the features of a particular model.

Many buyers ask the question when choosing a TV: “What size should the screen be for modern flat-panel models?” The basic rule for selecting the size of a TV: the diagonal of the screen should be approximately one-third to one-quarter of the distance to the viewer. The version of 55-inch displays I propose meets this requirement. TVs with a diagonal of 1.4 m are ideal for viewing from a distance of 4 m, and if preference is given only to movies in HD, even from three. But this is just advice; in any case, you will determine the choice of TV size based on your personal preferences.

Finding a large TV without functionality is now almost impossible. Even relatively inexpensive ones(costing up to 50,000 rubles) models have all the necessary interfaces and capabilities for organizing a home multimedia center. The presence of a wireless Wi-Fi module and the ability to play almost any content will not surprise anyone.

Nowadays, the use of online services that provide access to large media libraries, both video and music, is becoming relevant. If you have an account, for example, in the online library of Amediateka series, then I recommend checking whether this service is supported by the TV you like. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers are committed to adding the necessary applications to their smart TVs. Equally important is the speed of the software interface; there are still TVs with slow launch of applications, and the interface takes a lot of time to open dialog boxes. I strongly do not recommend focusing only on functionality; the desire to buy the most sophisticated “TV” will not be justified. If any of the readers already have, remember when you last time took out 3D glasses.

TVs for the living room up to 50,000 rubles

1. SAMSUNG UE55H6600

TVs that receive signals from cable, antenna and satellite, in top model Samsung H6 series are presented in two copies. So, you can watch a program and record another on an external hard drive or transfer the stream to a smartphone or tablet. However, the usual restrictions are not removed: only unencrypted programs are allowed to stream and record - for example, this will not work with HD+ or Sky. These encrypted channels can be temporarily recorded only as a 90-minute segment of Time Shifted TV - time-shifted broadcasting. In addition, the second receiver can be used to display the main image of a channel on the screen (PiP, “picture in picture”). In case there is nothing interesting in the TV program, Samsung offers access to many online services: in addition to the TV channel’s media library, all major video libraries are available. The quality of the H6 series devices is one of the best in this category, the clarity and contrast are amazing, the colors are very realistic (Film mode, color temperature 1). The sound is a little disappointing, not enough low frequencies, but this is a “disease” of most TVs. On sale you can also find individual copies of the H6620 model of the same technology, but with four pairs of 3D glasses, not two. Football mode is a great idea, but the brightness settings can't be changed, making the picture hard to see. The Favorites panel makes it easy to find your most frequently watched channels, frequently used apps, and connectors.

2. SAMSUNG UE55H6470

Model H6470 is for those who like to make the best decision. This TV is one of the most worthy of recommendations. The equipment includes all the basic parameters and a large number of connectors, as well as receivers for cable, satellite and antenna. In addition, there are interesting options - 3D playback, as well as a wide range of web applications. The TV browser is capable of displaying regular sites, including those with Flash videos. However, navigating the menu with the remote remote control requires a lot of patience, even with a second remote control with a touchpad for cursor control included in the delivery kit. But videos from YouTube, TV shows from media libraries, and films and TV series from online video libraries are loaded without long delays. There is no fault with the image quality of Samsung H6 series TVs. It's just that the viewing angle is small - if you watch the TV from the side, dark areas look grainy and colors are pale. But overall, the clarity is high, the colors are great, the display of motion is clear - you can hardly find anything better at this price. Samsung supplies two remote controls for most Smart TVs in the H6 series.

3. SAMSUNG UE55H6410

Ideal solution for the wall. The UE55H6410 technology is largely similar to the H6470 (also in second place), therefore it is a selection criterion for devices of this price category. The main difference: the H6410 is framed by a narrow white frame, into which the display is recessed a little deeper, which gives the impression of a hanging picture. The back panel is just as light, but rather dirty beige than noble white. The inscriptions on the white remote control are slightly less readable than on the black remote controls of other Samsung models. The stands are also different. In addition, the range of display sizes for the white model is limited: in addition to the 140 cm (55 inches) model H6410, there are TVs with sizes of 102 cm (40 inches) and 122 cm (48 inches).

4. SAMSUNG UE55H6270

Samsung has reduced the scope of delivery of the most affordable representative of the popular H6 line. Like other devices, the H6270 plays 3D movies, but the corresponding shutter glasses are not included. Separately, they cost about 1000 rubles. Additionally, there is no second remote that would be useful for controlling the Smart TV's Internet options. The rest of the equipment differs insignificantly from more expensive models, although Samsung claims the opposite: according to the manufacturer, the frequency of the H6270 matrix is 200 Hz, and on other models it is 400 Hz. But these numbers are just tricky marketing ploy: Virtually all TVs reproduce images at 100 frames per second, with decent clarity and virtually no stuttering. In addition, the TV can be purchased in other sizes.

5. LG 55LB670V

The operating system, according to LG, should add comfort to managing smart TVs. The animated installation wizard and fancy menus look good, but they don't provide any functionality. On the contrary, the somewhat incomprehensible controls and slow work are only annoying. The main advantage of webOS still lies in the control panel at the bottom of the screen, where the most frequently used applications are located for using the Quick Launch. The range of programs is as good as on higher-end LG TVs. Gesture remote controls have been around on LG TVs since before the advent of webOS. Most importantly, the LG's picture quality is good, colors look pretty good even when viewed from the side, and the sound output from the device is above average.

6. SAMSUNG UE55HU6900

Ultra-clear and ultra-affordable. Despite the designation, the HU6900 does not actually belong to the sixth series. It does not support 3D format. But this TV is the only one with UHD support among devices in this price category. Therefore, the recommendation is obvious: sports fans are better off purchasing another TV of the sixth series. The same applies to those who prefer to watch a 55-inch TV from a distance of more than three meters. Those who sit close and like to view photos on a flat screen will be impressed by the HU6900 and its extreme clarity, and then eagerly await the arrival of new 4K movies in online video libraries, because watching 4K on this TV display is a blast. a real pleasure.

7. PHILIPS 55PFK6609

More light than shadow. The 55PFK6609 uses the usual Ambilight technology: two vertical rows of LEDs illuminate the wall behind the TV in a tone that matches the image on the screen. However, the Philips consumes very little power. The image captivates with high contrast and realistic colors. The level of detail in dark areas is lacking, and 3D movies are less clear than rivals. The quality of the built-in acoustics is mediocre. The remote control fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, but the multi-level menu takes some getting used to.

8. SONY KDL-55W805B

In many respects the TV is similar to the W605B. The main difference: the W605B can reproduce 3D format; Sony supplies two pairs of corresponding shutter glasses with the device. The image quality is about the same, the disadvantages include insufficient brightness and a small viewing angle, while the advantages include realistic colors and very high contrast. In addition, the display of mediocre quality TV shows and Internet videos is relatively good. In terms of sound, the TV is at the middle class level. The equipment is acceptable, the only thing missing is a few little things: for example, Sony does not play video compressed in DivX from USB and over the home network. And the ability to use the stand as a wall mount is a clever idea.

TV in the living room from 50,000 rubles

1. SAMSUNG UE55HU7590

For its price, Samsung's UHD TV offers amazing technology. It is available in three sizes. In addition to the 140 cm (55 inches) option, there are 165 cm (65 inches) and 190 cm (75 inches). But the largest model is very expensive, so it’s ideal to watch such TV from a long distance. The image quality is amazing and the color reproduction is accurate. In terms of technology, the device is similar to the much more expensive HU8590 (55 inches) with a curved display with UHD support, only the HU7590 screen is flat. The HU7590's 4K capabilities are revealed when playing movies in UHD resolution, for example, from an external library or via satellite. It’s great that Samsung has placed all the connectors in a separate block, which connects to the TV via a special cable. The advantage is that if new interfaces appear in a few years, there will be no need to buy a new TV - it will be enough to simply replace the One Connect “box”. Equipped with USB and network support, Samsung is already very versatile - it plays all popular movie formats. There's a wide range of smart TV apps, as is typical for all Samsung TVs, and the controls are very easy to get used to. Samsung also displays apps by category. Wide selection of large video libraries. Some options, such as recommended channels, are optional.

2. PANASONIC TX-55ASW754

The best network technologies. If you're looking for a non-UHD TV, you can't go past Panasonic's ASW754. 140 cm version (55 inches) - this TV model is not available in a larger diagonal version. The image quality is excellent: the colors are realistic and the clarity is decent. The device is well suited for watching with friends: the permissible viewing angle is twice that of Samsung TVs. The sound quality is mediocre, and the power consumption is low - it doesn't even reach 50 W. Good equipment: thanks to two receivers, you can record another on an external hard drive while watching one program, or transmit the stream over your home or even mobile network to watch later on your smartphone or tablet. In addition, other smart TVs can also catch programs transmitted there by Panasonic. Panasonic offers apps for all popular video libraries, and Amazon is the latest to join them.

3. LG 55UB850V

More high quality You can hardly find images for that amount. LG's UHD TV impresses with good quality, which drops off when playing fast motion, but only slightly. Colors look realistic even from a wide viewing angle. Not particularly deep blacks are quite tolerable. The controls take a little getting used to. LG's new webOS operating system is fast, but the menus themselves are confusing. The only advantage: running Smart TV applications continue to run in the background and can be quickly called up. Using the remote control, you can control the cursor on the screen with gestures - this makes it convenient to scroll through the menu, and there are buttons for basic functions, such as selecting a program or changing the volume.

4. SAMSUNG UE55HU7200

Curved display affordable price. In order to offer an affordable UHD TV with a curved display, Samsung has ditched some features. Thus, receivers for cable, satellite and antenna are presented in one copy. That is, you can only record the current program on an external hard drive or stream the stream over your home network. Additionally, the HU7200 does not support 3D. All other equipment is excellent: there are more than enough connectors, the TV plays all major multimedia formats from USB and the Internet. In addition to the tested 55-inch, there is also a 165-centimeter version. The related model HU7100 (also with diagonals of 55 and 65 inches) differs from the HU7200 only in the stand.

5. LG 55LB730V

Affordable and smart. The LB730V is an ideal alternative to the UB850V in almost every way, with the exception of UHD - for example, when viewing from long distances of more than three meters. The LB730V also features true-to-life colors and a wide viewing angle, while features and controls are similar. In particular, the model with Full HD also has a Magic Remote, as well as menus that are not always clear. The new webOS operating system still needs some work: it freezes at times. But voice search is better designed than its competitors. So, when searching by movie title, the results are also displayed based on TV programs and video library, and not just some videos from YouTube, as on other TVs.

6. PHILIPS 55PFK7109

Nice design. Light, narrow frames and a neatly crafted metal stand give this Philips FullHD TV a truly attractive look. The backlight on the back of the TV also looks elegant: two rows of LEDs on the right and left emit light in different color tones in accordance with the picture on the device. With the TV turned off, you can use Ambilight by manually adjusting the colors and brightness. The TV picture is impressive, with correct colors and smooth motion (in the menu when you change the "Perfect Natural Motion" setting to "low"). You need to get used to controlling the device using complex multi-level menus. The remote control is double-sided: on one side there are regular buttons, on the other there is a QWERTY keyboard, from which you can enter, for example, a password to an online video library.

7. TOSHIBA 55М7463

Suitable for working in natural light. 50 cd/m2 brightness allows Toshiba to display a picture about 50% brighter than other devices in the test, without going into the direction of excessive brightening, but this does not affect energy consumption in any way: Toshiba is assigned an A+ energy efficiency class. The advantage of a bright image is that even in well-lit rooms it does not lose contrast. Toshiba also took care of good sound: on the bottom of the rather thick case, the Japanese placed a clever channel to enhance low-frequency sounds, so the sound of the M7463 as a flat-panel TV is surprisingly powerful and spacious. Controls and equipment are slightly worse than those of rivals: the media player is hidden in a multi-level menu, and there is little to be found on the Internet except media libraries, YouTube and some music.

8. SONY KDL-60W605B

Sony is one of the few TVs released with a screen diagonal of 152 cm (60 inches). Popular sizes are 55 or 65 inches in model range There are no W605 TVs with Full HD support. Narrow black frames around the screen are pleasing modest in size, the thin stand is not inferior to them. 20 kg of weight allows you to easily mount the device on the wall. Good quality images with realistic colors and very high contrast. However, due to the rather low maximum brightness, the image appears faded and gray shades are lost. In addition, the permissible viewing angle is small; when viewed from the side, colors lose saturation. Low price: Sony is one of the few TVs without 3D support.
