The lighting technology is effective both on a dark night and in heavy fog.

This car uses an engine with electronically controlled multi-point injection (each cylinder has its own nozzle) and electronic system ignition Engine with a working volume of 1.5 liters with 16 valves, a twin-shaft cylinder head, providing increased power (69 kW) and torque (130 Nm), allowing the car to have improved dynamic qualities. The 16-valve 94-horsepower engine allows it to accelerate to a speed of 185 km/ h. To a large extent, this is facilitated by the low aerodynamic coefficient Cx = 0.3.

The following modifications are produced: VAZ-21120 with a 16-valve engine with distributed fuel injection with 14-inch tires and a version of the VAZ-21122 with an 8-valve engine with distributed fuel injection with 13-inch tires. Both engines have a displacement of 1.5 liters. There is also a version of the VAZ-2112i (injector).

There are the following car versions: VAZ-21120 - 01 "norm" and 02 - "luxury", VAZ-21122 - 00 "standard", 01 - "norm" and 02 - "luxury".

In October 2003, at the sites of one of the partners of OJSC AVTOVAZ, the Avtokomplekt company, piece production of the VAZ-21123 car began. VAZ-211223 is a three-door hatchback of the VAZ-2110 (“coupe”) family. The only company in Tolyatti, Betta, is currently selling this machine. During this year, several such machines have already been assembled for exhibitions and testing. In October, piece production of commercial vehicles began.

The new product is assembled virtually by hand on the basis of the usual “twelfth” modification, and its basic configuration also repeats the VAZ-2112 model. The three-door coupe will differ from the standard hatchback mainly in the presence of only three doors instead of five. However, this factor entailed significant changes in the character of the machine. For example, the appearance of the car has become much more sporty and swift, which was clearly lacking in other models of the “tenth” family, especially the sedan. Without a doubt, the rear spoiler, which is different from what is installed on the VAZ-2112, also adds elegance. There are also new exterior rear view mirrors.

The doors have become two hundred millimeters wider. This will be appreciated by “respectable” people who can hardly squeeze into a standard “ten” or “twelfth”. To get into the rear seat, the backrests recline in the same way as in 2108. And even though the doorway of the “one hundred and twenty-third” is slightly narrower than the “eight”, the rear passengers will not feel this thanks to the almost vertical B-pillar. (In the VAZ-2108 it is tilted forward - a style decision - which causes some inconvenience when entering the back seat.) The heavier doors have durable, cast new hinges, which, by the way, will soon be installed on all cars of the “tenth” family.

The technical effect of eliminating two doors is a more rigid body. The numbers are still being clarified, but it is already clear that the coupe is much stiffer in torsion than the five-door “twelfth”. Of course, the smoothness of the ride had to be sacrificed a little - the body stopped “playing”, softening the shocks, but handling has noticeably improved. This is also facilitated by a stiffer suspension.

The suspension is noticeably stiffer than the standard one, but for a real combat vehicle it is still soft. However, the coupe was created for energetic, but still normal use, and not for rallying. Steering“elastic”, strict, clear, reminiscent of a figure eight. In any case, the difference with the “twelfth” is very noticeable.

The most simple equipment“standard” with a VAZ-2112 engine and 14-inch wheels is aimed at business people who, as a rule, use only one or two seats (the rear seat, however, is present “just in case”). But the term “cheap” does not apply to this model - although the car is simple from a technical point of view, a small-scale exclusive is always more expensive than a mass product. But depending on the character and wealth of the client, the car will be equipped with everything the heart desires. To choose from: wheels 14 and 15 inches, several seat options - standard “tenths”, original bucket type and even branded “Recaro”, air conditioning, power steering. And a little later there will be a “sport” version - with a larger engine and 195/55R15 tires.

In addition to the regular version of the three-door hatchback, Avtokomplekt is ready to start producing a more powerful modification of the new VAZ-21128, which is already equipped with a 1.8-liter injection engine, and which was “fine-tuned” by car tuning specialists. At the same time, the car differs from the basic version not only technical stuffing, but also the interior design and even some changes to the exterior. The engine is mounted on a subframe to make the engine even more rigid and “sharpen” the steering. At the same time, a concomitant effect will appear - the vibrations transmitted from the engine to the body will be somewhat reduced. The cost of this modification has not been precisely determined - it may vary depending on the level of equipment and the set of modifications.

As ladaonlilne reports, about 10 VAZ-211223 cars have already been assembled and approximately the same number are at the manufacturing stage. The cost of the VAZ-21123, considering its almost “hand-assembled” design, is still quite high. IN basic configuration it is about 260 thousand rubles. The “base” includes almost the same equipment as the regular VAZ-2112 hatchback.


The VAZ-2112 model has undergone many changes during its production period and various modifications, not all of which were popular with consumers:

  • 21120 – engine with the same number as the modification, with 16 valves according to the standard GLI luxury version of one and a half liters;
  • 21121 – engine 21114, 1.6 liters with 8 valves;
  • 21122 – engine 2111, volume one and a half liters, with 8 valves, budget version with 13 discs, without power windows, with non-ventilated brakes 2108;
  • 21124 - with an engine of the same marking as the modification, but with 16 1.6 liter valves. It was produced until 2008. Despite the problem with valve bending, which was solved almost after the car was taken out of production. To achieve engine displacement from 1.5 to 1.6, the cylinder block changed significantly, becoming 2.3 mm higher, which accordingly affected the dimensions of the crankshaft parts;
  • 21128 – 16 valves, engine with the maximum volume for this model (1.8 l). Luxury version from Super-auto JSC.

One of the versions of the VAZ-21123 was produced right up to 2009, but it was already a three-door and was produced in small series. The three-door hatchback had a 16-valve 1.6-liter engine in a luxury version. It was for this model that the term “coupe” was first used as a marketing ploy. But, in addition, this development had a body that was much stiffer and allowed the car to become more responsive on the road.

The VAZ 2112 is a front-wheel drive hatchback that has gained popularity among many Russians. Young people were especially interested in the so-called “two-piece” with its sporty design and improved technical characteristics. Until 2010, a modification of the VAZ 2112 with a coupe body was produced.

The car began to be produced in 1999, the body received a shortened design (4.1 m), so the car has a clear response to steering wheel turns. The trunk has increased to a volume of 400 liters.

Modifications of VAZ 2112

The model was produced in several versions:

  • 21128 with engine 1.8 16 cl 100 hp. luxury version of the car from JSC "Super-auto".
  • VAZ-21123 “Lada 112 Coupe” is a three-door modification of the VAZ-2112 car. It was produced in small series from 1999 to 2009. It went through three body modifications. Initially, it had a unique hood and bumper of the M series. Then it was produced with an M series bumper, its own grille and a standard hood. The car is a three-door hatchback, equipped with a 16-valve 1.6 liter engine and made in the “luxury” version. The term "coupe" appeared in its name exclusively as marketing ploy.
