Disadvantages and weaknesses of the Nissan Note with mileage. Weaknesses and shortcomings of Nissan Note Nissan Note in Russia. Owner reviews

Compact minivan nissan note belongs to class "B". It is a spacious five-door car that combines innovative style and practicality, but at the same time has a sporty character. The European version is produced at the Nissan plant in the UK.

The Nissan Note is aimed primarily at families, especially those who need a car that meets the needs of a busy daily life, but who are not ready to give up the feeling of driving pleasure. The Note has plenty of room in the cabin thanks to its long 2600mm wheelbase. Luggage space can be increased by design rear seat, which can be fully folded or simply moved forward. At the same time, the luggage compartment is also easily transformed depending on the size and number of things carried, and its volume varies from a minimum of 280 to a maximum of 1332 liters with the rear seats folded down.

AT Russian Nissan Note is offered in three trim levels: "Comfort", "Luxury" and "Tekna". Standard equipment: headlight washers, electric power steering, auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, power windows and side mirrors. In the Luxury package, the car is equipped with fog lights, body-color door handles, rain and light sensors; climate control system, which uses a sensor in the cabin to automatically maintain the set temperature. One of the most convenient options is an electronic chip key, it allows you to open the doors of the passenger compartment and the luggage compartment, while the Intelligent key system itself recognizes the owner's approach to the car. The equipment of the most expensive Tekna equipment includes 16" wheels, leather steering wheel and gear knob, parking sensors, engine start button, parking sensors, folding side mirrors, a cooled glove box, a multifunctional color display with a navigation system.

Nissan Note in Russia offer two petrol engines of 1.4 (88 hp) and 1.6 (110 hp) liters. Cars with a larger engine can be equipped with both mechanical and automatic transmission, and the 1.4 engine offers only manual transmission. Both engines are four-cylinder, in-line, with 4 valves per cylinder, quite economical. For a 1.6 engine in a combined cycle, fuel consumption is from 6.6 to 7 liters per "hundred" (depending on the presence of "mechanics" or "automatic"), and for a 1.5-liter - 6.3 liters. Acceleration to 100 km / h, perhaps, is not a fundamental parameter for this car, but quite worthy - the most frisky version on the "mechanics" is able to reach this speed in 10.7 seconds.

The front suspension of the Nissan Note is independent, MacPherson type, the rear is semi-independent, torsion bar. Actually, the suspension, as well as the sound insulation, are not the “strong” sides of the Note, given the budget class of the car. What not to occupy the car is the maneuverability in urban conditions, thanks to which the convenience of parking is ensured. The car has a very short rear overhang, but the front overhang is decent, so the bumper should be protected from possible contact with the curb. Generally ground clearance although it looks decent on the numbers (165mm), but with a long base it is not so much.

Nissan Note safety is at a very high level, especially for post-styling modifications. The car is equipped with ABS, ESP directional stability, emergency braking assistance system (Nissan Brake Assist), two or four airbags, depending on the configuration. It is possible to install child seat using special ISOFIX mounts. It is worth adding a function here automatic start headlights, active headrests and a modern impact-absorbing body structure. The car received good results in EuroNCAP crash tests.

The Nissan Note, like many of its economy class rivals, is not without its drawbacks. At the same time, the uniqueness lies in the fact that Note - great option for the urban environment: convenient, comfortable, compact and roomy at the same time. This car is fully capable of meeting the needs of a family with a limited budget, especially when it comes to used copies, which, as a rule, have (given the young age of the generation) a good technical condition.

Due to their niche nature, laptops cannot boast the same popularity as tricks or logans, however, they are often found on the roads. As always in this section, we will talk about the design and operation features, we will tell you which components and assemblies to pay close attention to.

IN GOOD HANDS

From offers to secondary market ripples in the eyes. Prices start at 300 thousand rubles. for a 2005 car and reach up to 600 thousand for fresh copies. Dealer diagnostics before purchase would be helpful.

Pay close attention to the body: traces of corrosion are a sure sign of repair. "Notes" do not rot for no reason. You can ignore the peeling chrome grille, this is a disease of many modern cars.

There should be no drips on the inside of the glass of the fifth door. Rarely, but water finds a loophole in the seal of the lantern of the third "stop". Missed this issue? You may encounter a more serious one - rotting of the boot floor. It happened that the door lock “did not see” the limit switch. Because of this, the light in the trunk did not go out, and for a couple of days before the base, it discharged the battery.

On machines from the first batches, defects were found in the head module of the multiplex, called the BCM, - some relays were stuck. All defective modules were replaced under warranty a long time ago, and now it is almost impossible to meet a car with glitches. But still check the performance of electricians, especially in the rear. On machines since 2006, there are practically no problems with the multiplex.

FROM THE BLUE STREAK

Gasoline units are very reliable. Problems arise only because of substandard gasoline, which poisons candles with a high content of iron oxide. Replacing them on the 1.4L CR14DE engine is much easier than on the more popular 1.6L HR16DE. At the latter, it is necessary to remove the intake manifold, and it is unlikely that you will be able to do it yourself ( ZR, 2010, No. 1).

Engines are tolerant of the increased content of resins in gasoline, but do not neglect the recommendation to flush the nozzles every 60 thousand km. Moreover, they do not need to be dismantled - then carbon deposits are additionally washed off from the valve guide bushings. Cases of sticking valves can be counted on the fingers, nevertheless, heed our advice.

There are no complaints about attachments: the starter, generator, air conditioning compressor work reliably. True, it happened to change the tubes of the air conditioner, but it cannot be said that massively.

By 60–80 thousand km, it is desirable to clean the radiators of the engine and air conditioner from the dirt accumulated in the honeycombs - the motor will thank you with a stable thermal balance.

Diesel K9K was not officially delivered to Russia. It's a pity. This Renault-made unit has become famous for its amazing reliability even in Scandinavia, where frosts are stronger than ours. Yes, and its traction is no worse than that of gasoline versions, and fuel consumption is completely ridiculous - from 5.9 liters in the city! Not surprisingly, in Europe, most laptops are diesel.

However, when purchasing a car "from there", keep in mind: Russian official dealers(and gray ones too) little familiar with diesel engines- They have neither specialists nor the necessary diagnostic equipment. Therefore, before buying, you should contact a specialized diesel repair company. Spend a little more time and money, but you will gain confidence in the longevity of expensive fuel equipment.

You can't fault the reliability of Jatko's well-known four-speed automatic RE4F03B. The same unit with minimal alterations (mainly in software) has now been installed even on the Lada Granta - which means that there will be no difficulties with spare parts for a long time.

In manual gearboxes with factory indexes JH3 and JR5, bearings make a lot of noise. Basically - the primary shaft. There are two ways to fight: increase the volume of the Nissan Connect audio system (the sound quality is very decent) or switch to GL4 + or GL5 oil - even official dealers unofficially recommend such a replacement, assuring that the synchronizer life is not reduced. Changing bearings, as practice shows, is useless: it does not get quieter.

Clutch life depends on driving style. It happened that under the foot of an inexperienced driver, the lining of the driven disk burned out after 30 thousand km, but on average the unit serves 100–120 thousand km.

LAPTOP PROBLEMS?

There are no problem-free cars, and the Note is no exception. Most often, the front suspension annoys, in many details it is similar to the suspension of the little Micra. In a larger "Note", silent blocks are sometimes destroyed at 60 thousand km. And although ball joints ready to serve for a long time, they will also have to be changed, since the original parts are assembled - a lever with silent blocks plus a ball joint. Hence the additional costs (see table at the end of the article).

The stabilizer struts and bushings are also not famous for their longevity, often they are nursed only under 40 thousand km. The support bearings of the front struts are recognized as the weakest link: they sometimes begin to creak and crush after 30 thousand kilometers. But they are relatively inexpensive. But there are practically no complaints about the shock absorbers.

Steering tips serve up to 100 thousand km, thrust - over 120-150 thousand, but the trouble is: they are not officially changed separately from the rail. Then if you please, replace the EUR assembly, although by that time it still looks quite functional (unlike the Micra, where the mechanism, outwardly similar, wedges regularly). Or look for non-original rods, climbing at your own peril and risk into the responsible joint of the rod and rail.

You are unlikely to get acquainted with wheel bearings. But if you are “lucky” to get into a deep pothole, you will find out that they go separately from the hubs, and replacing them, having the appropriate equipment, is no more difficult than on front-wheel drive “frets”. There are no comments on the anti-lock braking system sensors.

TOTAL

Time-tested engines and gearboxes do not cause any complaints, but the suspensions borrowed from the Micra turned out to be a weak link.

When "100 meters remain to the target" - the desire to see the updated Nissan Note grows with every step. Getting into the line of sight - there is a feeling of some disappointment. Profile view - Note as Note. Not a single gram of difference is visible from this distance. Considering that back in 2005, a detailed report on the now popular Japanese hatchback was carried out, the memories of every detail of the car are still fresh in the memory. Looking from the side, it becomes clear that the designers decided not to particularly “lift” the compact minivan. Down with vague doubts, we are approaching the updated Nissan Note and looking straight into his eyes.

The brain instantly launches the “find 10 differences” program. Externally, the hatchback has not changed much over the considerable 5 years of history. Yes, they changed the hood - restyling made it more sporty to some extent, now this part looks much more modern. "Cosmetic plastic" also touched the front bumper, grille and headlights. "Facial expression" now clearly shows that a car based on the Nissan Micra can be similar to the brutal Murano without losing the personality of the lines of the Nissan Note. Thanks to the disappearance of the black plastic edging, the fog lights have become an addition to the bumper, and not something that stands out.

As for the rear view, then (when compared with the 2004 model), the color scheme of the boomerangs rear lights became much darker.

Knowing not the particular desire of the Japanese to change the appearance of successful car models, the hope still burns inside that there are much more new things in the cabin, or at least they are more visual. We sit down. But everything is in its place - in their old places. The same seats (extremely comfortable by the way) with well-thought-out lateral support. They are covered with the same water-repellent material, which more than once helps parents with children. Plastic and adjustments - no changes. Strange, but where is the update?
Stop! The central panel ("beard") definitely attracts attention no less, but a whole 2-din radio with a 5-inch touch (!) Screen. The head unit is equipped with the modern Nissan Connect navigation function, which both writes and “speaks” in our native language. The radio tape recorder meets all the requirements of modern times, and this includes reading MP3 and WMA discs, supporting Bluetooth connections, and reading data via the USB port, which is beautifully hidden in the glove box. Not bad for a car of this class.
It is now more convenient to manage the “climate”, finalized appearance dashboard and replaced the shape of its visor. As always Japanese manufacturer, making small improvements, makes the car more comfortable comfortable.

Well, we sat down, it's time to go for a ride - a test drive of the updated Nissan Note. The fact that the suspension has undergone a number of improvements is felt immediately. The car became less rigid, which did not worsen the handling index. Engineers have retuned the hatchback's rear suspension. Their efforts paid off. Now, in corners, the roll has become even less, it would seem, where else. It is much easier to pass a turn at speed on a Nissan Note than on most cars of its class. Separately, it is worth highlighting the seats. Not only the driver, but also the passenger sits in them like a glove, which is important when changing the trajectory of movement at a considerable speed. Steering clear and simple. The electric amplifier clearly transmits the "commands" of the driver.
Due to the short base (only 2600 mm), the car tolerates long-wave flaws in the road worse, but calmly pass tram rails it comes incredibly easy to him.

Specifications. Of the engines in the new modification appeared diesel unit 1.5 l. Economical, powerful ... and still unavailable to us. Although the quality of our diesel fuel it has finally become better, many manufacturers of "foreign cars" still flatly refuse to supply a computerized diesel engine. From the range, already proven engines of 1.4 and 1.6 liters are available to us.

Nissan Note was originally created as a small family car, which allows you to comfortably transport not only passengers in a spacious cabin, but also, without scratching or damaging, transport acquired goods. Restyling in no way affected these qualities of the hatchback-compact van. Transforming the cabin from "passenger" to "truck" is done in a couple of minutes. luggage compartment you can easily increase from 280 liters to 437. And with the seats folded down, you can get as much as 1332 liters of free space. If you fold the front passenger seat, then objects 2.4 m long are placed in the car - it is extremely convenient for moving.

There are no cardinal changes in the updated Nissan Note, but the whole set of improvements that was carried out had an incredibly strong effect on the level of comfort (in better side). This is a clear indicator of how mature class B cars have become. New features are attracting an increasing number of buyers who make a choice and choose their Note.
And to choose, in the case of the Nissan Note, there is plenty to choose from - a wide choice of equipment ... and the price of Nissan Note in 2014 varies in a wide range - from 499 thousand rubles for the initial Comfort package (for this money there is: ABS, 2 airbags , power accessories for mirrors and windows, air conditioning and heated front seats) up to 677 thousand rubles - the cost maximum configuration Nissan Note Tekna.
We can say that the price of the car is more than justified - the quality is appropriate, the comfort is at the level of the C-class.

Nissan Note is a small five-seater Japanese minivan, the release of which began back in 2004 and continues to this day.

The laptop is a five-door subcompact van with a front-wheel drive layout, which belongs to the M-segment. It is based on the "Nissan B" platform found in the Nissan Tiida and Nissan Platina, as well as some Renault models. The production of the car was carried out both in Japan itself (for its own market) and for Europe (in the UK).

History of the Nissan Note

ATTENTION! Found a completely simple way to reduce fuel consumption! Don't believe? An auto mechanic with 15 years of experience also did not believe until he tried it. And now he saves 35,000 rubles a year on gasoline!

The development of Nissan Note was implemented in order to meet the huge demand for this segment of cars, because Nissan had only one such model in those years - Almera Tino, which was not popular due to its similarity with Renault Scenic.

A new brainchild from Nissan appeared in 2004 and had a base from the Micra car of the same manufacturer. At its core, the Note includes a combination of elements of several Nissan models. For example, the grille was borrowed from Murano, and the taillights were identical to the Qashqai concept. At one time, Nissan Note was nicknamed E11.

This car was first made public in 2004 for the Japanese market. The start of its sales took place in January of the following year. In 2005, the Note was introduced to the European market, first at the Frankfurt and then at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is produced at the Nissan plant in the UK (Sunderland city).

Nissan Note for the European market consisted of 5 trim levels, which included four airbags, power windows on the front doors, power mirrors and a CD player. In the CIS countries, in particular in Russia, the Note was supplied in 3 versions: Comfort, Luxury and Tekna. The first differed in that it had only two airbags, while the other two configurations were equipped with four. As for power units, there are only two options on the Russian market: 1.4 and 1.6 liters.

For reference! It is worth noting that because of its appearance, in our country, the Nissan Note was jokingly nicknamed "Raccoon"!

As for the suspension, the Nissan Note has an independent MacPherson-type front design, and a semi-independent, torsion bar rear.

Restyling of the first generation Nissan Note

This car received the first update in 2005, in Japan. Changes were made to body colors and interior, was added new system navigation. In 2007, the model was restyled, which brought a new grille, front lights, a radio with a Bluetooth system, and the external antenna was moved to the rear of the roof.

The next significant changes took place in 2010, which included new engine models, interior and exterior changes.

Below is a table that shows the main characteristics of internal combustion engines installed on the first generation Nissan Note:

The new version of the Nissan Note was designed based on the Nissan Invation concept car. In 2012, a new generation of Note was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, based on the improved Nissan V platform. It is worth noting that this car entered the European market only in 2013. In 2017, due to the UK's exit from the European Union, production of the second generation Note for Europe was discontinued.

On the Russian market this vehicle was never delivered. At the moment it is produced only for the American and Asian markets.

Selecting a Nissan Note powertrain

If we talk about which engine to choose a Nissan Note with, then the choice here is not great.
The car is small power plants, which are simple in design and bring no problems to the owner if the oil and filter are changed in a timely manner.

Important! Oil change in all Nissan Note engines is carried out according to the regulations every 15 thousand kilometers. However, experienced owners this car it is recommended to do this every 7.5 thousand km!

And yet, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.6 liter gasoline engines have their weak points:

  • Whistling from under the bonnet. Its source is the alternator belt. In this case, remove the old belt and change it to a new one;
  • The engine stalls. It's the fault of the ignition relay. This failure is characterized by the fact that the car may stall on the move and not start. Repair is carried out by replacing the relay;
  • Gasket burnout in the exhaust pipe. The main symptom is an uncharacteristically rough sound when accelerating or at medium speeds. The malfunction is eliminated by replacing the ring (gasket);
  • Engine vibration. Most often, this is due to excessive wear of one of the engine mounts;
  • The motor troit, starts poorly or stalls in winter. Judging by the reviews of the owners, a design flaw in the engine. However, the situation can be improved by changing the spark plugs or starting the power unit with a little gas.

Attention! There are times when the fuse responsible for a system or unit (for example, a control unit) is constantly on. This indicates that a short circuit is occurring, that is, the wires are exposed somewhere or the contact is broken!

Concerning diesel engine K9K, then the main problem in it is connecting rod bearings, which with a high degree of probability will turn after 100 thousand km. For the most part, this is due to a design flaw, but low-quality oil also exacerbates the situation. In addition, the owners complain about fuel pump high pressure and nozzles that quickly fail due to low-quality fuel.

The engine number is in the following location:

In addition, it is necessary to monitor operating temperature engine and cooling system as a whole. After all, if the coolant temperature sensor is faulty, this can lead to engine malfunctions. It also outputs to dashboard, where you can find out the temperature of the motor at the moment.

Important! Another problem of the Nissan Note is the corrosion of the pallet!

In practice, resource gasoline engines Nissan Note is more than 250 thousand km, and diesel - over 300 thousand km.

Based on the foregoing, we can safely say that best engine for Nissan Note is K9K, which is economical and has a long resource (shown in the bottom photo). As an alternative, the XH1 gasoline power unit can be noted.

Nissan Note (Nissan Note) - the first generation of subcompact van (E11), produced by Japanese company Nissan since 2005. In this model, manufacturers managed to combine different styles, giving the car a bright and memorable appearance, which could not go unnoticed by motorists who want to stand out in the stream. But from a technical point of view, the car does not have any outstanding characteristics, but this did not prevent it from becoming one of the most sought after in its class. In this article, we bring to your attention an overview of the weaknesses and shortcomings of the used Raccoon (as the owners call the car).

A bit of history:

The history of the Nissan Note is quite unusual. The idea of creating a practical and small little car came up with one of the company's designers, at a time when replenishment was expected in his family. Then he thought that it would be nice to have a roomy car that would be equally well suited for both everyday trips around the city and for travel. The concept of the model, which was originally called Tone, was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2004, and a year later, production of the serial version of the car with the familiar name Note started in Japan. Versions for the European market and the CIS have been produced since 2006 at the Nissan plant located in Sunderland, England. When developing the car, the most popular B0 platform, which is used on most models of the Renault-Nissan alliance, was taken as the basis. This model available for purchase in only one body - a five-door hatchback (C-class).

In 2008, the first planned restyling of the model was carried out, during which the exterior appearance was improved - the optics, the design of the frontal part of the roof and bumpers were changed. The second restyling of the Nissan Note took place in 2010, as a result of which the bumpers, grille and optics were changed. The line of power units, chassis tuning have also been upgraded and the list of available equipment has been expanded. In 2012, the car underwent another update, after which they began to use 16-inch wheel disks, new seat upholstery options, climate control and optics. The production of the first generation Nissan Note lasted until 2013, after which the second generation of the model took its place, which lasted on the market until 2017 ( not officially supplied to the CIS).

Problem areas and ailments Nissan Note with mileage

The original paintwork of the body, traditionally for cars of this manufacturer, is thin and soft, which is why it quickly acquires chips and scratches. However, today this is not so relevant, since there are already many copies in which the most problem areas- the roof edge, sills, door edges and wheel arches have already been repainted. Quickly enough, the paintwork will also cover the bumpers. But the metal of the outer body panels is made in the best traditions of the Japanese automobile industry (galvanized) and resists the onslaught of the red disease well even after 12-15 years of operation. Of course, due to age, small pockets of rust may be present on the body, but there is no talk of global problems yet. Most often, corrosion appears around the rear lights, in the area of \u200b\u200bthe license plate niche and front door moldings.

Also a cause for concern are the seams in the lower part of the body and in engine compartment(due to the accumulation of moisture, the shock absorber mounts and body support cups rust). Over time, the front spars, the attachment points of the mudguards, the rear support housing and the engine pan begin to rust (in advanced cases, it rots to holes). Rarely, but, nevertheless, rust is also found in the inside of the car - here the places where the floor carpet is attached are prone to corrosion (if there are pockets of rust, they should be cleaned and repainted). For vehicles without additional underbody protection, rust may be present in the rear wheel arches, in the spare wheel well, on power elements and chassis attachment points. It is also worth noting the weak corrosion resistance of the exhaust system elements. Of the features of the car, it is worth highlighting the illogical placement of the towing eye (attached to the spare tire niche), so towing should be done with great care, since the probability of damage to the seams of the niche is very high.

Among other shortcomings, one can single out the weak protective plastic of the headlights (it is overwritten and cloudy) and the short lamp life. The original windshield, which, moreover, is very fragile, does not differ in wear resistance. Sometimes the trapeze of janitors fails windshield, in which the axle turns sour (periodic maintenance is required). Often, owners also note the presence of problems with the tailgate lock switch (buggy). Occasionally, the locks of the side doors fail (the motor of the lock drive fails). Headlight washers have also received a lot of criticism, which do not do their job well, but at the same time consume a lot of liquid. Due to the fact that the Nissan Note has a fairly large front overhang, the front bumper often suffers from those who like to park close to the curb. The presence of moisture in the trunk is a sure sign of the unsatisfactory condition of the glass seals or side lights.

Power units

For Nissan Note, gasoline engines of 1.4 (CR14DE 88 hp), 1.6 (HR16DE 110 hp) and a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 90 hp (K9K) were provided. Looking ahead, I will say that everything power units simple and reliable. Of the common cons gasoline internal combustion engines it is worth highlighting the capriciousness of the ignition system, as well as a small resource of exhaust system elements and engine mounts. For cars that run on cheap fuel, the throttle valve often needs attention (it gets clogged and needs to be cleaned). There are also complaints about the reliability of the cooling system, in which, with frequent encounters with reagents, the radiator and pipes become unusable (flow). Once every 40-60 thousand km, the attachment belt and its tensioner need to be replaced. The need for this procedure will be prompted by a squeak or whistle that appears from under the hood.

The weak point of the stock engine is the unreliability of the timing chain, which stretches on a run of 160-180 thousand km and starts to rattle. In cars that have passed about 200,000 km, a progressive oil burn is observed, caused by the occurrence of rings. Special chemicals for decoking the internal combustion engine will help eliminate this ailment, but if the budget allows, it is better to change the rings. A little earlier, valve stem seals may require attention (tanning), since their replacement does not require the removal of the cylinder head. Since this motor does not have hydraulic compensators, it is recommended to adjust the thermal clearances of the valves every 100,000 km. If at operation of the internal combustion engine there are no extraneous sounds, you can not rush to the service. Of the features of the unit, it is worth highlighting its sensitivity to the quality of gasoline and the need to clean the nozzles every 60-80 thousand km. The engine resource with timely maintenance (every 8-10 thousand) will be about 300,000 km.

The 1.6-liter engine is structurally more complicated than its younger brother and is more expensive to repair and maintain. For example, to replace the spark plugs, the throttle body and the plastic intake manifold must be removed. The metal from which the "head" of the internal combustion engine is made is quite soft, so you need to tighten the candles wisely or with a torque wrench. Since there are no hydraulic lifters here, valve clearances need to be adjusted with the selection of fairly expensive pushers (once every 60,000 km). It is not worth delaying this procedure, especially for owners of cars with HBO, as this is fraught with burnout of the valves and accelerated wear of the camshaft. A timing chain operates in the timing drive, the resource of which largely depends on the quality of service. For some, the chain begins to ring after 150,000 km, while others have no problems even after 250,000 kilometers.

Like more weak aggregate after 200,000 km, there is an increased oil appetite caused by the occurrence of piston rings. This disease primarily affects cars whose owners prefer to drive low revs. Another disadvantage is the unreliability of the ignition unit relay, the failure of which leads to the stop of the internal combustion engine while driving, without the possibility of restarting. Of the less significant breakdowns, burnout of the muffler exhaust pipe gasket and failure of the engine mounts are most common. The resource of the engine is about 350,000 km.

Diesel

The diesel versions of the Nissan Note use a French-made Renault engine, which was also installed on our popular Megan 3 and Fluence. The main disadvantage of this engine is overloaded liners and fuel-sensitive equipment, which together can cause a lot of trouble. You can find more information about the shortcomings of the unit in the used review.

Transmission

For Nissan Note, only two types of transmissions were available - a 5-speed manual of the F5 series (RS5F) and a 4-band automatic transmission Jatco RE4F03A gears. For cars intended for the markets of Japan and England (right-hand drive), the JF009E variator was also used. The mechanics are very reliable and do not give unnecessary trouble. Among its disadvantages, one can single out increased noise of operation (treated by a slight increase in the volume of lubricant) and increased wear of the fifth gear clutch. On older cars, there are oil seal leaks, problems with the input shaft (it begins to play over time) and the output shaft bearings (“humming”, untimely elimination of the disease is fraught with damage to the gearbox housing). As for the mechanical resource, with timely maintenance (70-80 thousand km) and careful operation, it will last a very long time.

The situation is no worse with the reliability of the automatic transmission. The only thing that can ruin the box ahead of time is overheating, leakage of the torque converter seal and prolonged operation in dirty oil. With untimely maintenance, friction wear products are carried by oil through the transmission, clogging the solenoids, valve body channels and lubrication system, as a result, the box experiences oil starvation, which negatively affects its service life. If the condition of the solenoids is unsatisfactory, the pressure in the clutch packs decreases, and they burn.

The variator, although it is designed for 200-250 thousand km against the background of mechanics and automatic transmission, looks rather problematic, especially if it is careless about its maintenance. In addition, this automatic transmission painfully endures loads with sharp starts and frequent slips (the cones wear out, the belt stretches). The weak point of the variator is considered to be a step motor (stepper motor), which wears out quickly during active urban operation with numerous acceleration and deceleration cycles. On older Nissan Notes, a pressure reducing valve may require attention. oil pump(pump replacement required) and cone bearings.

Reliability of the suspension, steering and brakes Nissan Note

MacPherson independent suspension is used on the front axle, and a torsion beam on the rear. Many owners note that in comparison with the platformers, the Nissan Note is a little harsh. Indeed, more rigid silent blocks are used here, but this had to be done for better stability of the car, since it has a rather high center of gravity. As for the reliability of the chassis, it is worth noting here best quality original strut support bearings, which sometimes do not withstand even 50,000 km. The silent blocks of the subframe are also considered quite problematic. The stabilizer struts, as a rule, take care of 30-50 thousand km, and the bushings can even last up to 100,000 km. Over time, the stabilizer may shift slightly to the left side and cling to the side member (manifested by knocking while driving). The "silent" levers are asked for replacement after 70-90 thousand km, the hub bearings can withstand about the same amount. Suspension struts, depending on the load, go 100-150 thousand kilometers.

AT rear suspension, most often bother the shock absorber mounts. When using low-quality analogues, they have to be changed every 10-20 thousand km. If you overload the rear axle, you should not count on the long service life of shock absorbers and springs (sag). But the silent blocks of the beam are considered "eternal".

For cars intended for Europe, a rack and pinion mechanism with an electric booster is used (installed on the steering column shaft). On the Nissan Note brought from Japan, power steering is installed. The steering mechanism of European versions is considered quite problematic. In addition to the rail (the bushings break quickly), the EUR often fails, in which the control board and sensors are not reliable. But for cars with power steering, the steering system does not make itself felt until 200,000 km. Another weak point is the spline connection of the steering column (over the years it begins to play and rattle).

The main complaints about the brakes are caused by the rapid wear of their consumables. In older cars, due to corrosion of the mechanism, it is often difficult to adjust the drums rear axle. In the absence of care, the guides of the "fingers" of the calipers need to be replaced ahead of time. Work failures ABS systems are usually caused by the poor condition of the contacts and wiring.

Salon and electrics

The main feature of the Nissan Note is spacious salon and a reach-adjustable second row of seats. But the finishing materials here are of rather mediocre quality - a lot of hard plastic, which is attached with fragile latches and bothers extraneous sounds. Of the minuses of the cabin, it is worth highlighting the weak wear resistance of the steering wheel sheath, the unreliability of the armrest, and the unfortunate location of the stove radiator (to clean it, you have to disassemble the floor of the cabin).

Salon equipment, as a rule, works without problems. The only thing that can bother is the buttons of the power window control unit and the climate system, in which the fan fails over time. Rarely, but still, the heating of the driver's seat and the wiring located in the corrugation of the driver's and fifth doors fail.

Outcome:

Nissan Note, despite its considerable age, remains a fairly reliable car, the only thing that deserves significant criticism is the chassis, which can cause a lot of trouble. The rest of the model fully justifies the image universal car which gives a lot of positive emotions.
