Maximum speed Lifan x 50. Crossover "Lifan X50": technical characteristics, equipment, reviews. For the Trade-In program

New crossover The Lifan X50 was presented to the public in the spring of 2014 at the motor show in Beijing, and in August of the same year the Chinese brought the all-terrain vehicle to the Moscow International Motor Show.

The company from the Middle Kingdom did not delay the introduction of the model to the Russian market - the first cars appeared in the showrooms of local dealers in the summer of 2015. Note that the production of Lifan X50 for Russia was established at the Derways enterprise in Cherkessk.

Exterior

The Lifan X50 2017-2018 SUV in a new body has a fairly dynamic image with a cute “face”. Looking at the latter, a bumper with a large trapezoidal air intake catches your eye. It is possible that the Chinese “spied” such a design solution on the Ford EcoSport.

Also worth noting at the front is the presence of a laconic radiator grille, the shape of which resembles a bird spreading its wings and large wide-angle headlights. At the same time, black plastic linings, which are present on the front and rear bumpers, as well as on the sills and wheel arches, are designed to emphasize the all-terrain appearance of the new model.

In profile, the new Lifan X 50 somewhat resembles Opel Mokka(there are similar curves of the A-pillars and door frames). Additionally, it is worth noting the presence of two-color roof rails and broken lines of stampings on the rear doors, which are especially noticeable on cars with bright body colors.

As for the stern, comparisons with Kia Sportage. At the rear of the Lifan X50 there is a compact tailgate and horizontally oriented teardrop-shaped two-section lights. A single round exhaust pipe can be seen from under the bumper, and the wheels are fitted with 15-inch alloy wheels from the factory.

In general, the image of the Lifan X50 is a kind of hodgepodge, but the manufacturer managed to avoid complete copying and maintain a certain balance, so the crossover looks quite stylish and youthful.

Once inside the new Lifan X 50, many are surprised to note the presence of budget model leather seat trim, but what brings it back to earth is hard and loud plastic, which is used everywhere. However, the interior itself has a rather nice design.

The dashboard deserves special mention. It has an unusual layout, in the center of which there is a single dial. The latter combines the functions of a speedometer and tachometer, and there are electronic screens on either side of it.

From the outside, such a device looks impressive, but its practicality raises a number of complaints. Thus, the red backlight and background “hit” the eyes at night, and the readability of the instruments is at a low level: it is extremely difficult to notice the red tachometer needle against the same background.

In the base, the SUV is equipped with a simple audio system with four speakers, the screen of which again comes with a red backlight. More expensive versions of the Lifan X50 come with a full-fledged multimedia system, the functionality of which can be controlled both from the touchpad on the center console and from the three-spoke multi-steering wheel.

Characteristics

Being built on the basis of the Lifan Celliya sedan, the Lifan X 50 pseudo-crossover reaches a length, width and height of 4,100, 1,722 and 1,540 mm, respectively, and the car’s wheelbase is 2,550 millimeters.

The curb weight of the hatchback is 1,150 kg, while the Chinese say that the car is based on a high-strength body with programmable deformation, which more effectively distributes impact energy during collisions.

The suspension design is quite standard: classic McPherson struts are used on the front axle, and a semi-independent torsion beam is used at the rear. Disc brakes are installed on all wheels. The high ground clearance of 185 mm allows the car to feel confident on rough terrain.

By default, the trunk volume of the new Lifan X50 is 280 liters. If necessary, the backrests of the rear sofa can be folded into the floor - then the capacity of the cargo compartment will increase to 1,480 liters.

In the line of power units of the model there is only a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, developing 103 hp. at 6,000 rpm and 133 Nm, available in the range from 3,500 to 4,500 rpm. The SUV can be ordered with either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission.

Lifan X50 is sold exclusively in front-wheel drive. According to the passport, it takes 11.0 seconds to accelerate from zero to hundreds of cars. The maximum speed of a car with a manual transmission reaches 170 km/h, while the version with a CVT is slightly slower - 160 km/h.

Price in Russia

The Lifan X50 crossover is sold in Russia in two trim levels: Comfort and Luxury, which can be equipped with an Off-Road option package. The price of Lifan X50 2019 in a new body varies from 689,900 to 794,900 rubles.

MT5 - five-speed manual transmission
CVT - continuously variable transmission

Price: from 622,900 rub.

Lifan X50 is a small crossover for young people, this is exactly how the manufacturer positions it. In fact, the situation turned out to be not quite the same, the model is not purchased by the majority of young people, and the Chinese forecasts did not work out.

The Chinese automotive market has entered new level, now they don't just copy other manufacturers' products with inferior quality, but create completely new customized cars.

The crossover was presented in 2013 at the Beijing Motor Show and a little later in the same year there was an exhibition in Moscow.

Exterior of the Chinese

When creating the design of the model, the manufacturer was guided by its other cars, bringing its entire line under the general style. An X-shaped design is used here and the face is very similar to a sedan. The muzzle is certainly stylish, but it is copied not only from the younger version, but also from one of its competitors - .

Yes, you can’t immediately determine the similarity, but you can take a closer look and understand that new head optics have been made, stylish LED headlights and a slightly modified hood of the Lifan X50, otherwise it’s the same thing. Of course, it’s not cool to have a not completely new individual design, but there’s nothing tragic about it, it doesn’t change the fact that the car looks stylish.

From the side, you immediately understand that this is a hatchback with increased ground clearance and the use of solutions that allow you to visually make the car larger than it actually is. Such methods are known to many - these are plastic arch protection, roof rails and muscular arches. Regarding the arches, the basic configurations are equipped with 15 discs, but you can install more, since the size of the arches allows it. The uniqueness of the side is given by stamping lines; the divided upper stamping looks most attractive.

The rear design of the Lifan X50 2016-2017 crossover is built slightly differently, using a U-shape. The backside also doesn’t particularly shine with uniqueness, that’s who it resembles from this side. The headlights are almost completely licked clean, perhaps they did this due to the fact that the Italian is not particularly popular and most likely no one will notice. The small rear window may look stylish, but it certainly won’t add safety. The shape of the bumper is not bad, it is complemented by rear foglights and plastic protection.

Initially, we told you that the Chinese have stopped completely copying other cars and this is true. This car is the result of combining the style of several car exteriors and this is why it differs from other Chinese.

Dimensions:

  • length – 4100 mm;
  • width – 1722 mm;
  • height – 1540 mm;
  • wheelbase – 2550 mm;
  • ground clearance - 185 mm.

Interior decoration

It's time to move on to the interior review. Once inside, at first glance everything seems more than good, there is a noticeable large number of different niches and boxes, which will especially please the female audience. Of course, the materials used are far from the best, the price is small, but they are assembled well, there are no creaks of any kind. Probably everything will be fine while the crossover is new, but it is possible throughout its entire service life.

The first thing the buyer sees is the steering wheel and dashboard, so the manufacturer tries to make it beautiful in order to detain the buyer. They really put a lot of effort into the dashboard, steering column and instrument panel. The 3-spoke thick steering wheel of the Lifan X50 is quite comfortable, of course it has an airbag. The steering column is also equipped with buttons, mainly designed to control the audio system.

Design dashboard stylish, but this style does not suit such a car. There is one main well with a tachometer and electronic speedometer. Other information is displayed on analog gauges and displays on the left and right. The use of red lighting is disappointing; it looks aggressive, but it encourages sporty driving, and the car cannot give this.

The design in the center is familiar to many, almost everyone inexpensive cars a roughly similar style is used. A simple monitor was installed upstairs, responsible for the time and temperature outside. Below, under the air deflectors, there is a standard Lifan X50 audio system, as simple as possible with push-button controls on the sides. There is also no navigation or rear view camera; you can only listen to music using the display. Below is a block air conditioning system, it was made in a minimalist style - compact and immediately clear how to manage everything. At the very bottom there is a folding ashtray.

The tunnel is even simpler; we are immediately greeted by the gear knob. The AUX and USB ports were installed to the right, far from the most best place for this, AUX is even more or less, but the inserted flash drive will interfere. Naturally, there is an armrest with a good box for various small items.

The trunk of the Lifan X50 is disappointing; it is too small for this class; even some hatchbacks have more volume. Total luggage compartment designed for 280 liters, but if you need to transport a larger load, you can recline the rear seats to obtain 1480 liters of volume. The folding seat function is a paid option and this greatly surprises buyers, since usually such a simple function is installed in the basic package.

As a result, the crossover is not particularly overstuffed in terms of equipment, only everything you need:

  • 4 airbags;
  • air conditioner:
  • multimedia steering wheel;
  • audio system;
  • heated seats;
  • all power windows;
  • heated mirrors.

Of course, I would like more various useful equipment, for example, better multimedia or at least a rear view camera, but the car is cheap and that’s why everything is so.

Specifications

You are not given the opportunity to choose a suitable power unit; one motor is installed. The engine is technically simple - a 16-valve 4-cylinder naturally aspirated unit with a distributed injection system. The output of this unit reaches a maximum of 103 horsepower at 6000 engine revolutions, a torque of 133 H*m is achieved in the range of 3500-4500 revolutions.

The unit is paired with a 6-speed manual, or for an additional 40,000 rubles they will supply you with a Chinese Aisin CVT gearbox. All torque is transmitted only to the front axle, all-wheel drive At the same time, there is no Lifan X50 Off-Road package, but off-road without all-wheel drive can hardly be called off-road.

Of course, the city crossover does not shine with dynamics; if you purchased a car with a manual transmission, then you will be able to accelerate to a maximum of 100 km/h in 11 seconds with maximum speed 170 km/h. The CVT will allow you to get the same dynamics, but with a lower maximum speed of 10 km/h. The consumption, regardless of the type of gearbox, will be the same - about 7 liters of AI-92 in the combined cycle.

The car's suspension is ordinary, it was taken from the Celliya sedan, so there is no point in expecting comfort. The front axle is mounted on a classic independent design, the rear axle is semi-independent on a torsion beam with a crossbar stabilizer. This is an ordinary city chassis that will not show results off-road and will not surprise you with comfort.

Configurations and prices of Lifan X50

The manufacturer does not offer a large number of trim levels, there are only two of them, Comfort (basic) and Luxury. Basic equipment will cost the buyer 622,900 rubles, the equipment will be minimal:

  • air conditioner;
  • electric booster;
  • rear parking sensors;
  • heated seats;
  • all power windows;
  • heated and electrically adjustable mirrors;
  • 15th alloy wheels;
  • regular audio system with AUX and USB port.

For the second package you will have to pay 699,900 rubles; whether you take it or not is at your discretion. An additional airbag and a slightly modified audio system will appear. The Luxury package has access to a CVT transmission, but for an additional 40 thousand rubles.

Conclusion

Still, this is a hatchback with increased ground clearance rather than a full-fledged crossover. There was the same confusion with the promoted one. Create good competition for Russian market in the budget segment it can, but it definitely won’t be first because Russian attitude to Chinese production.

Among the advantages of the Lifan X50 2016-2017, it is worth noting good efficiency, good ground clearance, acceptable equipment in the database and a low price. The disadvantages include simple braking system, poor-quality lining materials, a small trunk and only one engine in the lineup. Would you buy such a crossover for 600 thousand?

Crossover Lifan X50 became a response to the decline in sales and the crisis situation in the car market. If other market segments suffered quite seriously, then the situation in the segment budget crossovers pretty good. The buyer is looking for the most practical car for all occasions. Today, people need a practical, roomy, compact car with high ground clearance for a minimum amount of money.

Actually, the Lifan X50 is an ordinary hatchback with increased ground clearance and a plastic body kit. The model was created on the basis of the regular Lifan 530 sedan. The SUV received the same gearbox options, a single engine, suspension and chassis. True, the manufacturer decided to make the appearance as unique as possible.

Exterior X50 received an impressive trapezoidal radiator grille, LED optics, roof rails and large alloy wheels. The declared ground clearance of 18 and a half centimeters with a body length of about 4 meters is quite suitable for city parking and trips to the country. But for real off-road use, even very short overhangs are not suitable. Photos Chinese crossover look below.

Photos of Lifan X50

Salon Lifan X50 typically Chinese. The abundance of plain dark plastic, which when tapped not only makes noise, but also rings, will not please you with a pleasant smell. The seats are not very ergonomic, the cushions are a little short, but the seats are trimmed in leather even as standard. Visually, the center console, steering wheel, and instrument panel look harmonious and quite decent. But as always, little things spoil the whole impression. For example, the steering wheel can only be adjusted by tilt angle. It will no longer be possible to pull the steering wheel towards you. The bright red instrument panel looks interesting, but why should the tachometer needle be made the same red? You simply can’t see her! The wheelbase is only a little over 2.5 meters, so the rear passengers are frankly cramped.

The trunk after the modification of the Lifan 530 sedan turned out to be very small, only 280 liters. However, if you throw out the shelf and load it to the ceiling, then the volume increases to 570 liters. You can also fold the rear seats, and this is already a decent 1480 liters! There is also a full-size spare wheel.

Technical characteristics of Lifan x50

In technical terms, the car is a hodgepodge. The Chinese actively use foreign technologies, sometimes not very successfully. In the case of the Lifan concern, the main donor was Toyota. Many Japanese solutions are also used in this Lifan.

Engine Lifan X50, this is a 4-cylinder in-line 16 valve engine of the LF479Q2-B series developing 103 hp. with a torque of 133 Nm. Volume power unit only 1.5 liters have a variable valve timing system. Most likely it's aluminum block cylinders and timing chain drive (although the data is contradictory). For example, the new Lifan Solano 2 has a more recent design with a cast iron block and timing belt. It is possible to find out more precisely only by opening it, since even the manufacturer himself has completely different data related to the difficulties of translation.

As a transmission, the front-wheel drive SUV received a 5-speed manual (14A5/LD515MF-2) and a continuously variable CVT (RDC 15-FB) as an automatic. The suspension is quite energy-intensive - independent MacPherson strut at the front, and semi-independent at the rear (deformable beam). There are disc brakes on all wheels, and they are naturally ventilated at the front. The steering mechanism is rack and pinion with electric amplifier.

The ground clearance, which is officially stated, is 185 mm. However, if you arm yourself with a tape measure, then there is only a little more than 160 mm under the protection of the engine sump. Below are more detailed technical information about the model.

Price and configuration of Lifan X50 in 2018

At the moment, the Chinese model is one of the cheapest on our market. In terms of price, the car can only be compared with domestic cars, especially in the database. True, it recently entered this market new player– Cherie Tigo 2 . Lifan does not have many trim levels, these are the entry-level, top-end, plus top-end, but with an automatic transmission.

  • COMFORT – 659,900 rubles.
  • LUXURY – 699,900 rubles.
  • LUXURY CVT – 739,900 rubles.

Cars assembled last year will cost a little less. In principle, the base, that is, the COMFORT package, already has everything you need. This includes air conditioning, leather interior and alloy wheels. However, if you need a sunroof, a multimedia system with a rear view camera and navigation, and rear parking sensors, then you will have to pay extra.

I'll start in order. Having sold my viburnum, I decided to switch to a more respectable car. But again I ran into the issue of price. This time the requirements were higher; I wanted a crossover with a rich set of equipment and preferably an automatic. IN price segment Lifan x50 approached, after reading the reviews and taking the model for a test drive, I finally decided. When I sat behind the wheel for the first time, I felt very pleasant emotions, a large, spacious, leather interior, well, the panel was a little pretentious, but I liked everything. Oh how it sounds!! You take off and lightly accelerate and such a deep, thoroughbred roar. Delight. After every press on the gas I smiled like a child. And how it accelerates smoothly and very quickly, no jerks or failures. Super! The tandem of the variator and engine is simply super. It accelerates instantly and not noticeably at first, it even seems like it’s not moving, and then you look at the speedometer and there’s 140. I don’t tear the car away, I change the oil everywhere before it’s supposed to, especially in the transfer case and the variator, everything is too scary. Although all cars break down over time. Gasoline consumption is very pleasing, on the highway I get around 7-8 depending on how you drive, and in the city it’s 9 liters. In winter, a little more than 10 liters, no more. I like the car and that’s the main thing, but there are no perfect ones. So if you like Lifan, go for it.

Good day everyone. I decided to write about chinese car appeared in our family. Before him, we had a Lada Kalina (station wagon). Although it was difficult to call it a station wagon, it was more of a hatchback. They decided to change it because the mileage had already exceeded 100,000 km and the warranty had expired. I was choosing between Vesta and X 50. Vesta is more spacious in the cabin, but with the same configuration the difference in price is noticeable. My wife liked the X 50 more due to the price and we settled on the X 50. From my first intercity trips, a minus was discovered. The chips are right down to the metal; when examining the primer, you can see that it wasn’t even there. The plastic in the cabin looks cheap, but new car there was no strong smell. The engine seems sluggish from the start, but when overtaking on the highway there are no complaints at all. The stove heats well, even in cold weather (the highest it has been so far is 28), the interior heats up quickly. For me, the box is small, although for various small things there is an armrest with boxes where a lot of things can fit. The standard music, by the way, produces a not bad sound. What I especially liked and missed in the previous car was adjusting the pause of the wipers. I would like a larger trunk, but so far everything I need fits in, even when I went on vacation in nature. There are disadvantages, there are advantages, but for this money my wife and I decided that there are more advantages.

I have a Lifan x50 in my possession. Equipment: 1.5 l., air conditioning, ABS, EBD, 2 airbags, electric windows. Not bad for me, as an experienced VAZ driver. The first impression is a thrill. After Zhiguli and Lada, Lifan seems like a liner, you feel like a person! Then I began to listen: the engine in the cabin is audible, even too much, but for a 1.5 its “roar” is even pleasant. Among the advantages, we can immediately note the high ceiling and comfortable seating (with my height of 185 cm), excellent visibility, including mirrors. The suspension as a whole is very good - it is omnivorous (within reasonable limits, of course), it eats our native holes, potholes, and “accordion” without any problems. Appearance pleasant. The interior is comfortable - everything is in its place, no extraneous noise and squeaks (the sound of the engine does not count). Back seat reclines easily, the lateral support of the front seats is good. Handling is excellent - the car is very nimble, with a small turning radius, I can fit it into all sorts of nooks and yards without any problems. The result is a successful car for the city and the highway with necessary set options to feel comfortable. A worthy alternative to VAZ.

Hello everyone! My father and I chose this car for a long time, about 3-4 months (since it was difficult to present any meaningful requirements for the car and other than ground clearance, fuel consumption and other garbage did not come to mind). But after talking with people and the prospect of building a summer house on the site looming on the horizon, as well as counting the money in the piggy bank, after all of the above, this option was eventually born - Lifan x50 2018 1.5l, 103hp. on mechanics in luxury configuration. The car is already 1 year and 3 months old, the mileage is very low (11,000 km, I just rarely drive). I can note a few points of this car. I liked the appearance of the car (although not the main characteristic for me). The presence of roof rails for installing the trunk and transporting cargo, respectively. The trunk capacity is sufficient for me, but the high side sometimes makes loading and unloading difficult. The driver's ergonomics are completely acceptable, but there is a controversial point. The driver's seat has insufficient lumbar support, and the seat is quite okay, but I didn't find the seating position for myself very quickly. Steering– EUR, quite light, the steering wheel turns with a bang. I really like that the car is only 4100 mm. In some places where I visited, this helped a lot, both getting in and leaving. In terms of fuel consumption, per at the moment shows around 9/100 km (in winter and with the heating on). I consider the noise insulation acceptable for myself (however, the car may seem noisy to some). In the city its dynamics are enough, on the highway you need to be more attentive and calculate maneuvers (although this should always be done), since there is not always enough dynamics for overtaking. The rear view camera makes it easier for us inexperienced drivers to reverse park. The glove compartment is spacious for instructions, small tools and compulsory motor insurance (or CASCO). I may not have listed everything yet, but I can say one thing for sure: this is my first car and I like it, with its advantages and disadvantages. And since I’m doing this for the first time (I’m describing operating experience), don’t throw felt boots or throw hats. (We are not wizards, we are just learning).
