Don Yenko developed his own line of Chevelle`s, along with his own Camaro`s and Nova`s, which became known as Yenko Super Cars. This tuning studio converted a standard Chevrolet 427 V8 engine into an L72 427 - which is 425 hp (317 kW).

1973–1977

During this period, Chevelle sales totaled nearly 1.7 million.
For most of 1973, Chevrolet was concerned with safety issues that did not bypass this model. And these are glass frames, roof reinforcement, front bumper and an unusually thin windshield frame, which also provided better visibility.
